Coming up in January 2016 two great events. To start 2016 Kettering Arts Centre will welcome Patrick Monahan who will headine our first Rolling in the Aisles Comedy Night on Saturday 16th January followed by the amazing Robert Habermann on 23rd January in a fully-scripted themed show recalling the life and songs of the famous composer George Gershwin featuring some of the most beloved concert works of the 20th century, along with familiar jazz standards. We have two cracking Comedy Club Nights to start 2016 starting in January our headline act is the glamourous Irish/Iranian/Geordie,Patrick Monahan. Patrick’s extremely clean and highly accessible material has made him welcome on stages around the world, including The Royal Albert Hall, and we are pleased to welcome him back to our stage. The songs and life of the songwriter and pianist George Gershwin are brought to life in I Got Gershwin! This specially prepared two act ‘scripted‘ themed show directs the spotlight onto the man responsible for introducing many songs into the American Songbook. Performed by Robert Habermann to music arrangement by top arrangers the show includes memorable songs I Got Rhythm, They All Laughed, Summertime, It Ain’t Necessarily So and many others from the opera Porgy and Bess.
