Music from the Movies with Boobs & Brass Band – Charity Event – Saturday 15th October
Tickets £10
Doors open 7pm – 7.30pm start
The always entertaining brass band, Boobs and Brass, will be filling the Arts Centre with the sound of music for this fund-raising concert.
Boobs & Brass is an exceptional class act with a repertoire that features the classics, pop, show tunes and more.
The name derives from the fact that it is predominantly an all-female brass band, though it does include a few men who are brave enough to wear the highly recognisable trade mark pink jacket.
Formed in Northamptonshire, the band, which now has a pool of 140 players to call upon, has been raising funds for charity since it was formed in 2006. As no one connected with the band charge any expenses it allows every penny raised from concerts to be donated direct to charity. To date this has reached almost £170,000, the majority of which has been donated to Breast Cancer charities.
Playing in the beautiful setting of St Andrew’s Church with its wonderful acoustics this is going to be a very impressionable performance by these accomplished musicians.
