We are just days away from hosting our next Potbelly Folk, Blues and Roots Festival Day which is taking place on Saturday (18th April).

Robert Johnson may have sung ‘From four until late’ but we are giving you more – this festival starts at 2pm and runs continually through until late evening. The wealth of talent the individual singer/songwriters and groups are bringing to this event is exceptional. Throughout the day the acts will be delivering highly different range of musical styles, each complimenting each other and combining to produce a fantastic treat for the ears.

Unfortunately, due to unexpected circumstances, one act, Careen, has had to withdraw from the line-up but stepping in to fill the vacant slot will be the award winning folk roots songwriter George Breakfast, aka George Bacon. Other songwriters have covered his material but this is an opportunity to see the ‘real thing’ as he picks his way through a selection of songs from his enormous repertoire, accompanying himself on either guitar or mandolin, both of which he plays with dexterity. More details are available on his own website: http://www.georgebreakfast.com

The revised running order is as follows:

2.00 – 2.45 Jacksboro Highway (blues)

2.55 – 3.40 George Breakfast (contemporary)

3.50 – 4.40 The Old Grey Dogs (bluegrass)

4.50 – 5.40 Kyle Carey (Celtic folk)

5.50 – 6.35 Kenneth J Nash (contemporary)

6.45 – 7.35 Lil’ Ian Goodsman (blues – slide guitar)

7.45 – 8.35 King’s Gambit (folk)

8.45 – 9.40 Tia McGraff (country)

9.50 – 11.00 The Jigantics (Americana, blues, folk, rock)

Add in to the above the festivals usual fine ales, children’s craft sessions and, to ensure stamina levels are maintained, (and that you need not leave the premises and miss out on any of these class acts), food will be on sale at the café.

We look forward to seeing you there.
