Herbie got his start in comedy at just five years old, entertaining the customers in his mother’s hair salon in Cambridge, England, creating characters and enchanting the ladies trapped under the dryers. Since those formative and crucial years, he toured and recorded as a drummer/percussionist, with a diversity of original bands, some have since become household names.. but it was during one particular life changing performance, whilst playing with a certain band you may have never heard of… to a belting wave of laughter… he fell off the drum kit.
Finally becoming a full-time comedian in his twenties, he wrote and performed his first one-man show. Since then, his appearances have taken him around the world and across the UK in theatre, comedy clubs, universities, cruise ships, casinos, military shows, cabaret venues, pantomimes, touring shows, comedy festivals, music festivals…
Broadcasts for television and radio include BBC, ITV and SKY.
Has performed alongside many of the biggest (and smallest) names in british comedy and now with a mix of music, surreal characters, sharp one-liners and observations he’s a popular headliner on the comedy circuit today…
“Funny bones and inspired lunacy from a very gifted and funny comedian whose sureness of touch and natural like-ability could be a trump card in the highly serious and competitive game of comedy” The Stage
“Herbie Adams is a comedy ideas man and a very expert player of the professional comedy game, Adams is winsome and astute in pretty much equal measure” UK Cabaret
Radu Isac is a very nice person. He always considers others before himself and he is never too far from a compliment.
Radu’s comedy career and personal hygiene are also of excellent standards. He started comedy in 2006 in Bucharest and in the summers of 2013 and 2014 he switched to doing it in English to make himself understood by the Los Angeles open mic audiences.
In 2015 I moved to london and after some quick BBC appearances, I became a professional comedian on the uk circuit.
Comedy central’s extra – “stand up express” 2014
BBC world service – “what makes the world laugh” 2016
BBC radio 4 – “fresh from the fringe” 2017
BBC world service – “the arts hour” 2017
I also enjoy long walks, cycling, skiing and staying indoors.
As ever our Rolling in the Aisles club nights are ably and amusingly hosted by our very own comedian compere, Nick Wills.
“The vicar is very funny” – Mark Steel
