Miles Jupp “Fibber in the Heat”
Back in 2006 ,suddenly finding himself disillusioned with acting and comedy, former Perrier ward nominee Jupp decided to pack it all in and pursue a new dream of becoming a cricket journalist. After pulling a few strings and telling some little lies,he headed off to India in the company of the English press pack,under-prepared and under-qualified,to embark on what turned out to be a month-long, sun-soaked disaster (with the occasional minor triumph) .This is the sorry tale of how a man attempted to become a cricket journalist by the unlikely,ill-thought out and dishonest method of pretending to be one.
Miles Jupp, Nigel in the BAFTA winning Rev ,is an award winning stand up and actor whose many television appearances include a memorable meeting In The Thick Of It with Malcolm Tucker, Have I Got News For You ,Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow , Argumental, Mock The Week ,Just A Minute on television and radio ,and an award winning appearance on Celebrity Mastermind. On film his appearances include Johnny English and Made In Dagenham.
Miles has written a book about his adventures in India which is released on May 3rd by Ebury Press. A hilarious account of life in the press pack by a would be journalist.
