ABOUT US

We are Kettering’s only Arts centre.
Run by the community for the Community

In 2011 Kettering Arts Centre was created to give the people of Kettering greater access to the Arts, at a price that was affordable for all.

Our first event in 2011 was with children’s author, Jaqueline Wilson, and we have welcomed many more famous and talented faces over the following years.

We can proudly say we continue to champion local and national artists by showcasing Live music, Theatre, Comedy, Cinema and Art installations.

We have been particularly fortunate to host many top level comedians such as Jack Dee, Shaparak Khorsandi, Nish Kumar, Alex Horne, Rosie Jones, Josh Widdecombe and Kettering’s local megastar James Acaster. Our monthly comedy club has seen numerous up and coming talent grace our humble stage and so often we are complemented for the incredible acoustics in our venue. From both performers and the audience.

What to expect

Although we are a community-led Arts centre, our sound and tech team, welcomers and bar staff are fully trained and eager to make sure you have the best night possible. Thanks to our amazing volunteers, we are able to keep ticket prices much lower than other venues and if you live in Kettering you might even be able to walk down to our venue saving you even more money.

We are an 150 year old building and St Andrew’s is still a working church so expect to see a few church items around as well as all the issues that come with maintaining an historic building. We are currently working on a large redevelopment project and at the end of 2023 we had reached 95 percent of the amount needed. This will repair the floor as well as install underfloor heating and improve our current facilities and access. For more details see the separate page.

Food and Drink

We have a fully licensed bar, serving affordable Wines, Lagers, Ciders, Soft drinks and our local ale; Potbelly brewery. As well as this we serve a wide variety of snacks and often have local cake companies serving goodies during the interval.

Access

We have ramped access to the main entrance, an accessible toilet and a looped hearing system and baby changing facilities. There are disabled parking spaces at the back of the church and can be accessed via Crown Street. Check the directions part of the website for further information or call/email us to discuss your needs

There are 30 car parking spaces outside the front of the Church, a limited number of spaces in our private car park via Crown Street and a large number of pay and display car parks within 5 to 10 minute walk from the centre
