Tiernan Douieb – Opening – Original Act
Between his constant touring, which started in 2014, his recent claim to fame was having his back shaved by Gillian Anderson as part of Mark Watson’s 27 Hour Show for Comic Relief.
Nicky Wilkinson – Middle – Instead of Paul Savage.
Actress, stand-up comedian, improviser and sketch performer. Having made her first forays into stand-up comedy as a resident compere at the award-winning Funny Side Comedy clubs, she’s now gigging all over the country as an act in her own right. A bright and quick-witted Hullonian, her warm, likable, down-to-earth style instantly puts audiences at ease; as ready and eager to laugh as they would be sharing a great joke with a friend. Her comedy mixes charming, real-life anecdotes with just the right dose of self-deprecation and often brilliantly funny improvised riffs with the crowd. Nicky’s impressive stage presence, great comic timing and considerable comedy performance experience are ensuring she’s moving quickly through the stand-up comedy ranks, definitely making her one to watch! In addition to her solo work, she’s also one half of comedy double-act Wilkinson Ford which performed its debut show ‘The Gherkin Fantasies’ in 2011 Edinburgh Festival and is currently contributing to a BBC comedy pilot.
Mandy Muden – Headline Act – Instead of Jim Tavaré
‘Imagine Alison Steadman playing a beauty consultant doing Tommy Cooper-style magic. Can’t imagine it? Then go see Mandy!’ – The Scotsman
‘She raised the energy level in the room considerably with a succession of daft, failed tricks and silly gags. An enjoyable performance.’ – StandUpCom Magazine
‘The digitally-enhanced magic of the superb Amanda Muden’ – Evening Standard
‘Imagine a sexy female Tommy Cooper, minus the fez’ – ES Hot Tickets
‘Mandy is going to be huge’ – Billy Connolly, Comedy Store, January 2003
